Hello again,
Thank you for joining me for another blog!
My goal is to post a new blog three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This may change once the school year starts, but for the summer this is what I will try.
Today, I am going to explain the inspiration for starting my blog, and how the idea of blogging even came to mind. I have some exciting teacher blogs to share with you, as well as some YouTube channels to follow. Also, I will explain what Periscope is and how it helped inspire me.
I actually didn't start thinking about blogging until a couple months ago. I found some teacher blogs from Pinterest that inspired the idea of blogging....by the way, I love Pinterest! I have a personal Pinterest for just about everything I have an interest in, which of course includes a teacher board. I also just created a Pinterest account for my Inspired Teach blog, so make sure to follow me at Inspired Teach on Pinterest!

Another thing I have become sort of obsessed with is YouTube. I love watching videos about anything teacher related. Some how, while searching for videos, I found The Lettered Classroom channel on YouTube. I have gone through and watched most of her videos, anything from organizing student data binders to her new 2016-2017 teacher planners. I especially enjoy her vlogs where she shares what's happening throughout her school days. To a future teacher, its really helpful to watch these videos, so that you are able to get an idea of how your days as a teacher will be. This kindergarten teacher (soon to be 4th grade teacher) is fun to watch, and is sure to inspire you with her amazing ideas. I highly recommend following her on Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and Periscope. Which brings me to the next topic...
During one of The Lettered Classroom's videos, she mentions her Periscope. I instantly became curious of what this was, so I got the Periscope app on my phone. After watching some live videos, following amazing teachers, and loving the topics of discussion, I am here to give you an overview of this app.
Some teachers on this app have described Periscope as "professional development in your pjs". You are able to watch live videos of teachers sharing their knowledge on a variety of topics. If you miss the live time view of the video, you can watch the replay of the video. During live videos, you can comment and connect with other teachers!
I have found so many inspirational teachers on this app. These teachers have YouTube channels, blogs, websites, and sell their products on TeachersPayTeachers. All of the teachers I have found provide valuable resources, tips, and advice. I have learned so much from them all.
